Yoga holiday Spain: Shanti Som

Shanti-Som Wellbeing Retreat is an exceptional retreat destination. Nestled in the midst of nature, surrounded by the Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park, it brings together elements of Balinese architecture and Oriental gardens creating a slice of luxurious eastern style within easy travelling time from Europe’s major cities. Tucked away in a shallow valley, surrounded by rolling hills and open countryside, Shanti Som lets you escape the hustle and bustle of modern life and immerse yourself in all things healthy and peaceful. The food is delicious, nutritious and healthy; the spa offers an excellent array of treatments and therapies; the yoga pavilion is a triumph; the hillside heate pool is a tranquil oasis and the bedrooms are supremely comfortable, and all with stunning en suite shower rooms.

Yoga at Shanti Som

There will be twice daily yoga classes during our group retreat. The sessions will take place in the beautiful, light yoga studio with views out to the surrounding mountains. On warmer days the group can also use the large outdoor Thai-style yoga deck, decorated with pray flags and with the gentle sound of trickling water this offer a special experience. Our schedule may change slightly for each retreat but allows for plenty of relaxation time in between classes.

7.30 – 9.00am Tea, coffee & fruit
9.00 – 10.45am Yoga
11.00 – 12.00 Brunch
3.00pm Tea & snacks
5.00 – 6.30pm Yoga
7.00pm Dinner

Holiday Accommodation

The ethos at Shanti Som is that bedrooms are designed for rest and relaxation. With this in mind, guests can expect a quiet stroll from the main lobby to reach their bedroom. Inside each room you’ll find comfy beds and your own robe to relax in- we’d recommend enjoying your complimentary herbal tea out on your private balcony or terrace as the perfect start to your day!

The ensuite bathrooms offer lovely complimentary toiletries and large rainfall showers.

 

Delectable Food

When you wake in the mornings we invite everyone to enjoy tea and fruit as a healthy way to start the day. A delicious brunch will follow after the morning yoga session and you can also purchase fresh juices from the bar.

In the afternoon the group will meet for tea and snacks which often include crudities and energy balls.

For the evening meal guests have a choice between a tasty vegetarian or meat and fish dish. Whichever you choose, you can expect a variety of flavours inspired by western and Asian cuisine.

If you’d like to go ahead with this trip we only need to take a 25% deposit with the balance due 10 weeks before the retreat.

If you’re a female looking to keep costs down we can try to pair you with another female. Please note that if by the time of the retreat we have been unable to find someone to share the room with you, we would ask for a small supplement of £200.
